Getting Started as a Pet Owner

Welcome to Putra! This guide will help you create your account and get started with managing your pets on our platform.

Creating Your Account​

Step 1: Visit the Registration Page​

  1. Go to putra.al/register
  2. You'll see two options: register as a Pet Owner or as a Veterinary Clinic
  3. Click on the Pet Owner option

Step 2: Choose Your Registration Method​

Putra offers two ways to create an account:

Email and Password​

  1. Enter your email address
  2. Create a strong password (at least 8 characters)
  3. Confirm your password
  4. Click Register

Google Sign-In​

  1. Click the Sign in with Google button
  2. Select your Google account
  3. Authorize Putra to access your basic profile information

Step 3: Complete Your Profile​

After registration, you'll be directed to complete your profile:

  1. Display Name - Enter your full name or preferred display name
  2. Phone Number (optional) - Add your phone number for clinic communications
  3. Profile Photo (optional) - Upload a profile picture

Your display name will be visible to veterinary clinics when you book appointments or share pet information.

Once logged in, you'll see your Client Dashboard with these main sections:

Dashboard Overview​

The overview page shows:

  • My Pets - Quick count of your registered pets
  • Upcoming Vaccines - Vaccinations due soon
  • Recent Vet Visits - Summary of recent medical appointments
  • Care Overview - List of your pets with quick access links
  • Upcoming Care - Scheduled appointments and vaccine reminders

Changing Your Language​

Putra supports multiple languages. To change your preferred language:

  1. Look for the language selector in the top navigation bar
  2. Click to open the dropdown menu
  3. Select your preferred language:
    • 🇬🇧 English
    • 🇦🇱 Shqip (Albanian)
    • 🇮🇹 Italiano (Italian)
    • 🇩🇪 Deutsch (German)
    • 🇫🇷 Français (French)
    • 🇨🇳 中文 (Chinese)

Your language preference is saved automatically and will persist across sessions.

Signing Out​

To sign out of your account:

  1. Click the Sign Out button at the bottom of the sidebar
  2. You'll be redirected to the login page

Make sure to sign out when using a shared or public computer to protect your account.
