Managing Your Pets

Keep all your pet information organized in one place. This guide covers everything about managing your pet profiles on Putra.

Viewing Your Pets​

Navigate to My Pets in the sidebar to see all your registered pets. Each pet card shows:

  • Pet photo (or species icon if no photo)
  • Pet name
  • Species (Dog, Cat, Bird, etc.)
  • Quick access to pet details

Adding a New Pet​

Step 1: Start the Process​

  1. Go to My Pets in the sidebar
  2. Click the Add Pet button
  3. You'll be taken to the pet registration form

Step 2: Enter Basic Information​

Fill in the required fields:

Step 3: Add a Photo​

Upload a photo of your pet:

  1. Click the Upload Photo area
  2. Select an image file from your device
  3. The photo will be cropped and optimized automatically

  • Use a clear, well-lit photo showing your pet's face
  • Square photos work best
  • Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP :::

Step 4: Add Health Information (Optional)​

Expand the health section to add:

  • Allergies - Known allergies or sensitivities
  • Current Medications - Ongoing treatments
  • Medical Notes - Any special health considerations
  • Microchip ID - Chip number if your pet is microchipped

:::info Privacy Note Health information is private and only shared with clinics you visit. Microchip IDs are never shown publicly. :::

Step 5: Save Your Pet​

  1. Review all entered information
  2. Click Save Pet
  3. Your pet is now added to your account

Editing Pet Information​

To update your pet's details:

  1. Go to My Pets
  2. Click on the pet you want to edit
  3. Click the Edit button
  4. Make your changes
  5. Click Save Changes

What You Can Edit​

  • Basic information (name, breed, color, etc.)
  • Profile photo
  • Health information
  • Birth date
caution

Some information like medical records added by veterinary clinics cannot be edited by pet owners.

Viewing Pet Details​

Click on any pet to view their complete profile:

Overview Tab​

  • Basic pet information
  • Current age (calculated from birth date)
  • Profile photo
  • Quick actions (Edit, Digital Card)

Health Timeline​

  • Vaccination records
  • Medical visits
  • Prescriptions
  • Care history

Linked Clinics​

  • Clinics that have treated your pet
  • Access to visit history per clinic

Understanding Age Display​

Putra automatically calculates and displays your pet's age based on their birth date:

  • Under 1 year: Shown in months (e.g., "8 months")
  • 1 year and older: Shown in years and months (e.g., "2 years, 3 months")
  • Approximate: If only a year was entered, shows "~X years"

Pet Species Icons​

Each pet displays a species-specific icon:

Deleting a Pet​

:::danger Warning Deleting a pet permanently removes all associated data including health records and history. This action cannot be undone. :::

To delete a pet:

  1. Go to the pet's detail page
  2. Click Edit
  3. Scroll to the bottom
  4. Click Delete Pet
  5. Confirm the deletion when prompted

Multiple Pets​

There's no limit to how many pets you can register. Your dashboard will show summaries for all pets, and you can easily switch between them using the My Pets section.
